1st ed. xi,224pp. Boards sl rubbed & sunned. Occasional light fxg & stains but overall a G copy.The author's letters written to various members of his family in the course of a 5 month tour of India. He was only 25 at the time, the son of the 2nd Earl of Selborne & grandson of the 3rd Marquess of Salisbury. He subsequently fought as a Captain in the 1st World War & died of his wounds in 1916.
