Pearl S Buck won the Pulitzer Prize for her novel 'The Good Earth' and was a Nobel Prize in Literature recipient (1938). 'The Living Reed' is her only novel set in Korea, portraying the lives of a set of aristocrats from the end of the nineteenth century up until the Second World War. Please Note: The dj is dusty to the back with some rub to edges. Front cover bears a bright illustration and spine is also vibrant in colour. There are a few nicks to the edges with a little rub to edges and tips. The back of the dj bears an image of the author. The white areas are dusty. The dj is not price clipped showing the original price of 25s net. The contents are unmarked and the fore-edge of the text block bears some fine age spotting. The top edge of the text block has retained most of the original pink staining. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
