octavo, ca. 5.5" x 8", pp. 431 bound in original pebbled cloth covered boards in good condition, contents are generally very good, but there are brown stains at lowers parts of first few pages and last few- possibly water damage, but difficult to explain why only front and back bottoms so affected- may be reaction with small amount of water and the covers of the book creeping in over time. There are several b&w illustrations plus photo of the author as frontispiece. old Pencil names of Wappingers Falls early owners on endpaper Overall, a copy of this scarce book. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA or priority shipping within the USA will be more expensive than an average book. Seller Inventory # 7941
