The original green cloth is in excellent shape, except for a rub mark on the spine and a touch of rubbing to the bottom edge; the corners are a square and the gilt lettering on the spine and upper board are as bright as if first issued. The interior is bright, crisp, and clean throughout; however, there is pale offsetting from the dustjacket flaps on the endpapers and the top-edge has a few freckles. The original dustjacket has taken all the wear: it is seriously sunned, especially on the torn spine, where a piece is missing that corresponds with the aforementioned rub mark on the book. Nevertheless, all writing and the original price are still intact. [Please see my five images of the actual book.] "A basic theorem of this book is that the primary service of the logic of science is to separate science completely from all historical ontologies and epistemologies. . . Another is that the full exploitation of the findings of current objective psychology helps to clarify the nature of logic itself. § In the final chapter . . . I raise the question how much and in what way science contributes to the general advancement of civilization."---from the Preface. As with every book from my father's collection, tipped-in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage. All books are wrapped with special care and are shipped promptly with tracking; international sales sent via global priority, also with tracking. Please note that, due to COVID, overseas shipping may incur unusual delays.
