In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, some shelf wear to the boards and significant bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Splitting to the cloth to the joints of Volume I and II. Internally, a previous owner's small ink notation to the front free-endpaper of each volume. Internally, hinges lightly strained. Remaining binding is firm. The odd spot or handling mark to the pages, which are otherwise generally clean throughout. Good.
