1944 First Edition; 95pp, numerous black & white and colour illustrations; cream cloth binding, no dust jacket. Condition: cloth is heavily discoloured, heavy wear to head and tail of spine with fraying and small losses to cloth. Spotting to endpapers and occasionally to text. 1.1cm tear to page 31/32, mrs to contents page (not effecting text). This copy, like most copies of his books, has been well read. However, the binding is tight and the illustrations are clean. Few artists can match Francis Marshall for capturing the atmosphere of London in the early and mid 20th century. Seller Inventory # 833
