1966, 1966, 1965. Three volumes. First Edition, fifteenth, twelfth, and eleventh impressions respectively. Bound in publisher's red cloth with spines stamped in gilt, maps intact at rear. Near Fine with remarkably bright red cloth, vivid topstains, bookseller tickets to front pastedowns, former owner name in light pencil at each front flyleaf with original purchase details at the rear pastedowns of Fellowship and Return of the King. In Near Fine unclipped dust jackets with toning and very light wear. A crisp, handsome set of Tolkien's epic trilogy.
