First edition tall quarto of just under 12 inches in height. Deep blue cloth stamped in black in fine condition. The dust jacket is also fine, though covered with a scuffed brodart cover. Text is in German. Fontis piece photographic portrait of Quinte by Helga Gebhardt. An exhibition catalog of Quinte's paintings held from October 16 to December 5, 1993 at Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe. Text is in Geman. Lothar Quinte was a mid century German minimalist painter. Many of his paintings also exhibited some os the movement qualities of op art. His paintings mostly utilized very few colors, and images of simple shapes with movement at the edges and interiors. He was also a well known artist os stained glass. Scarce title. 103 pp.
