First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 67pp. Black buckram lettered in gold at the spine. Top edge fractionally dust soiled, with a bump to the tip of one corner and just a fraction of browning to the free endpapers. Very good indeed in handsome patterned dust wrapper, lightly tanned at the spine panel with several tiny fractions of loss to the spine ends and corner tips, a little chafing to the natural folds and some internal repair and reinforcement. The front flap price label has been removed, resulting in a small rectangle of surface abrasion. Handsome former owner armorial bookplate to the front pastedown, almost entirely obscured by the wrapper flap. The author's first book, published a year after he graduated from Cambridge and comprising forty-one poems followed by five pages of notes.
