FIRST EDITION SCARCE pamphlet in yellow-gold wraps with photo of Calamity Jane on the front, photo of Mount Rushmore on rear cover, 12pp. + wraps. Six Guns #644. Adams calls it RARE. Good with edge wear and small tears with old tape repair; stapled binding secure. This story of Calamity Jane, one of the famous characters of the Black Hills, was written by one who knew her for many years and who was intimately associated with her in the early days in the Hills. Written by a woman who claimed to have known Calamity Jane, the story is based on actual facts and happenings in the life of Calamity Jane. Some disagree with the facts presented by the author but it is said that the author was in a position to know the "seamy side of [Jane's] character" since the author was quite a character herself. Not in perfect condition, but all there in a SCARCE pamphlet at a great price.
