Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to deep maroon cloth boards with gilt spine titles - two corners are bumped. Previous owner name in elaborate script on inside front and rear covers. Only flaw is the FFEP and the title page after it has corner folds. All pages are clean and unmarked. 37 chapters in 5 parts, 114 B&W illustrations, 25 tables and 2 charts plus index. This was the state of the art in 1916 and in many ways, little has changed from these basics. Anyone with equipment dating from the turn of the 20th century will have a definite use for this book.
