First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 312pp. In a W.H.Smith library binding of green cloth lettered in black at the spine and upper board and with the Smith's logo black-stamped to the base of the upper board. The cloth quite faded at the backstrip and with a thin sliver of further fading to one margin of the rear board. A little bruising and wear to the spine ends and corner tips. A hint of tenderness to the titlepage and a little further tenderness to a single gathering of four text leaves. A fair copy. No dust wrapper. The fifth of the author's sequence of 'Mapp and Lucia' novels. Seller Inventory # BC18544
