A charming fairy-tale by Charles Nodier. Translated into English. First thus, the first edition of this particular translation. Illustrated, with several colour vignettes by Claud Lovat Fraser. In the original publisher's boards. Undated, dated from Copac and the preface. In a quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Spine is faded with patches of light rubbing. A few marks to the boards. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Occasional spots to pages. Very Good.
