A very collectible copy of a true classic by one of the best storytellers of her generation, who also authored the story of Ping, the Angus stories, including Angus and the Cat, and many other children's titles. In 1947, Flack was the Caldecott Honor winner for Boats on the River. This copy of Lucky Little Lena is awash in 1930s sentimentality, and creates the aura of that period very very successfully.
