"Illustrated with 105 direct photograph prints produced by a new process devised and perfected for use in these volumes." The COLOR illustrations are TIPPED IN. (This book is not electronically reproduced). Volume 5 focuses on plums, prunes, and plumcots. Maroon boards with Burbank portrait on cover, spine is faded with gold lettering barely legible. Matching maroon end-pages front and back are both cracked along hinge (see image), but interior pages are secure, clean. Index page is uncut and has a closed 2" closed tear, as if someone tried to open the uncut page; interior pages are otherwise undamaged or torn. Top edge of text block is gold, other 2 sides are rough cut. 307 pages, 9 1/2" x 6 1/2".
