Undated, the one copy located on Copac is stated as being "The Second Series", this example does not mention those words, so I assume this is the very scarce first series, with no copies located in any of the main institutional library collections, a large folio landscape format measuring 52cm by 35cm approx. Containing six tipped in facsimiles of paintings of boats and ships on the River Mersey, each illustration is protected by a captioned tissue guard, bound in thin printed paper covers bound with cord. creasing wear, internally creasing to tissue guards and some of the actual illustrations.
