For each of the 25 artworks discussed there is a large fine B&W photo. viii; 170pp. The covers and spine are detached and almost come apart from one another, but complete except for small loss at the head of the spine. The rear board has loss of colour in a patch at the top and general wear. All edges gilt, with attractive gilt pattern and lettering in black and gilt to front board and spine. Early and late pages are detached. The main block of the text, from the title page to page 164 is still bound together and clean internally but for minor foxing here and there. Owner's small ex-lib, to ffep. The front preliminary pages have foxed) like the rear, and up to, but not including the title page, have come loose from the binding. Both boards have also come loose. The photographs, on quality photographic paper pasted to blank standard page are fine, showing great detail of stone texture and surface. The text block still holds together well. Poor, very scarce.
