xiii, [1 (blank)], [3] - 162, [2] pp. The occasional woodcut. 8vo. 9-1/8" x 5-3/4" Turnbull presumed to be the author of "Chessmen in Action" A bit cocked, light shelfwear, with board showing at the tips. Turnbull's ownership signature to t.p. [dated 1874], and with his internal marginalia. Adhesion spot between rfep & rear paste-down. Withal, a solid VG copy. Original publisher's pebbled blue cloth binding with gilt stamped spine lettering.
