About this Item

Numerous photographic illustrations. Loosely inserted are two hand written letters from Melba, who was the leading lyric soprano of Covent Garden for many years and sang often with Enrico Caruso. She was by this time a major international artist. She was born in Austrarlia, Melbourne from which she took her stage name. The hand written letters, on Ritz Hotel, headed paper, are undated but the envelope is dated 23rd Nov 1908. They are warm invitations to Robin Clark to meet and come to one of her performances. Book is very good indeed in like dj.
