Del autor, Francisco Pi, pocas rese�as biogr�ficas existen, podemos decir que se dedic� por completo a la Orden, de la que fue Prior del Monasterio del Val de Hebr�n (hoy desaparecido, desde la desamortizaci�n de 1835), y desde donde lanz� sus trabajos (siempre editados en Barcelona), que se resumen en unos pocos paneg�ricos y la obra que nos ata�e.
