Written in Latin by Johannes van Horne, Professor of Anatomy and Chirurgery in the University of Leyden. Translated with additions, by HENRY BANYER, Surgeon. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION 1717, 12mo, approximately 160 x 100 mm, 6½ x 4 inches, pages: xxiv, 1-190, [2], last leaf being advertisments of T. Varnam etc., bound in full modern calf, gilt lettered label and gilt decoration to spine, blind decoration to covers, speckled edges. Pale stain affecting title page and a further 30 or so other pages in varing degrees, all text readable (see attached images), paper fault to page 177, all text there but has to be folded to read (see image), turning creases to most corners, a few other occasional small spots, otherwise a good copy in attractive binding.
