CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Near fine. Interior is very clean, overall fine. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: This volume explores the challenges and opportunities afforded the HBC after the 1821 union with the North West Company. A key component of these years was how the HBC dealt with checking the expanding competition with the American traders, especially the American Fur Company on the Upper Missouri and the traders in the Oregon country.
