First printing of this delightful book that offers a guide on how to construct 24 styles of mid-century-tastic bookends. Newhauser, an instructor of industrial art at a Wisconsin high school, gives detailed instructions and diagrams on how to make these stylish bookends, from designs mimicking a Greek pillar to slick mid-century modern pieces. Makes us wish we had drills and a bandsaw around the office. 9'' x 6''. Original yellow cloth boards. Original unclipped ($2.25) yellow and white pictorial dust jacket. Illustrated in black and white. 100 pages, including index. Jacket with light edgewear, a few tiny closed tears and a couple faint spits of soil; a bit of chipping to top of spine. Binding front joint slightly foxed. Interior clean. Very good plus in very good plus dust jacket.
