Tipped inside the rear cover are two mimeographed sheets entitled "Feedingf Baby Chircks for Profit put out by Capper's Farmer, Topeka, Kansas. Green cloth with title in green on a black oval on the front cover and title and author in black on the spine Minor wear to extremities with nothing rubbed through, cloth clean, black brifht, previous owner's name and address [Mr. William A. Withers, July 10, 1944, Rte. 1 Box 354, Rancho Lindero, Placentia, Calif.], couple of small spots on foredge of textblock, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. Louis Merwin Hurd was Extension Assistand Professor of Poultry Husbandry in Conell Univeristy. This book is one in the Rural Science Series.
