FIRST EDITION FIRST PRINTING 1955, 8vo, grey boards, gilt lettered spine, 98 pages. Vignette on title page and 22 full page humorous portraits of types described in the 22 chapters. All but 2 of these pieces previously published in Punch. Book leaning slightly, endpapers slightly browned, large inscripton on front endpaper dated Christmas 1955 (see image), faint foxing to top edges, contents very nice. A very good plus copy in VG DUSTWRAPPER (dw: price clipped, spine lightly browned, head and tail of spine and corners slightly worn with minute chips, 3 small closed edge tears, lower panel slightly darkened at top edge, reverse of dustwrapper browned).
