About this Item
New York: Harcourt, 1921. First issue. A near fine copy in full black cloth, deemed a variant binding by Kilpatrick, one of 1500 issued. Without a dustwrapper. The paper label on the spine has wear at the edges. There is light tanning to the endpapers. This book of eight stories by Virginia Woolf shows the artist's mind at work demonstrating her "stream of consciousness." Each story flows from one thought to another asking different questions about life. For example, "The Mark on the Wall" questions the meaning of life and existence. "An Unwritten Novel" is about what people hide and what you don't know about a person you sit next to on an "omnibus." All these stories will make you look at life in a slightly different way. Excellent Early Woolf. Seller Inventory # 009168
