This is the very rare first edition. 1st edition does not appear even once in more than a century in the ABPC. Collated, complete. Last four leaves' corners rebacked. Last leaf loose (slight loss of text to index. Centuries' old full leather binding with some wear. Thomas Godwyn (ca. 1587-1642) was an English scholar who became the first fellow of the newly founded Pembroke College, Oxford (1624), became chaplain to the Bishop of Bath and Wells, and rector of Brightwell, Berkshire (1626-1643).
