Its astonishing recent discovery reveals the full text, and a portraiture of 49 members of the Continental Congress then mostly young men, hand~drawn in ink in authentication of its 56 signatures. This book is the first documentation of that lost Original Manuscript, ~ profusely illustrated with 41 plates showing some of its details and key portraits in the dramatic moment of creation. It is found to be one of the largest documents in the history of western nations, at 54 x 43 inches ~ written on 4 large panels of elephant~folio drawing paper ~ abutted & fused into a single sheet.
