He has a Ph.D. in management systems from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has over 10 years of teaching experience and was a finalist in the instructional innovation award competition held at the 1998 Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. His publications have appeared in journals like the Decision Sciences, the International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Discrete Applied Mathematics, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Computers & Education. He has worked with several companies on ColdFusion projects.

Rakhee Kaparthi is a business analyst in the engine-engineering group at Deere and Company. She has a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Her expertise includes several programming languages and other tools including C/C++, Visual Basic, ColdFusion, Active Server Pages, JavaScript and Bluestone Sapphire Web. She has a lot of experience working with relational database systems like Microsoft Access, Oracle and Microsoft SQL server. She has consulted with companies on ColdFusion web database projects for several years.
