Hardcover, no dustjacket, first printing as indicated by the same date on title page and copyright page, this is a reading copy only, a section of 4 pages is loose, pages 307-330 have heavy pencil notes, and there are several areas of internal hinge exposure along with a weak front hinge and the former owner's name is present on the inside of the front cover, the binding is clean.
