If you look this book up, you will find it referred to as the quinessential American Wildflower Book. When you open it up, you will see why! The illustrations are magnificent, so realistic; you will recognize many of them. There are 232 full-color, full-page illustrations in this book, each of them with brief descriptions. In addition, there is a Guide to Identifying wildflowers you might encounter in the field and helping you find them in the book. Condition: This book is in very good condition. I cannot say the same for the dust jacket which has a lot of edge wear including many small tears and chips and some stains on the front cover. Someone told me that you can buy a new dust jacket for the book. The hard covers are clean and bright and barely bumped. There is a pencil mark across the bottom corner of the front board, very light. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages are creamy white and clean with vivid, bright wildflower drawings. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Seller Inventory # 4805
