Previous owner's gift inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1916. The dust wrapper is generally sound with considerable shelf wear and chipping, soiling to the wraps, some loss to the spine; unclipped. Internally, firmly bound. Odd spotting to the odd leaf, otherwise the pages are bright and clean. With a colour frontispiece and plate and numerous line drawings in text throughout. Good.
