Martha Bartfeld received her Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry in 1937 from Hunter College in New York City. She is a multifaceted career woman combined with spiritual awareness. She attained in-depth knowledge and experience both in the merchandising field and as a paralegal.
In 1954 Martha moved to Miami Beach, Florida. During the winter of 1968 she created 200 geometric designs under the impression she was "just compass-doodling", then put them away until New Year's Day 1994 when she showed them to a friend who, upon examination, exclaimed: "Martha, these are mandalas!". Later that year she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, which she calls the Promised Land.
Martha is a Light Body graduate and a graduate of the three-year advanced Light Body course called Creation: Discovering Reality, programs developed by Orin and DaBen and channeled by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer.
The mandala on page 29 of the book bears special interest. Although Martha created this design in 1968 she was ignorant of its origin or name until February,1994 when, while on a metaphysical exploration in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she showed her designs to a fellow traveler who identified this design as the Flower of Life symbol. Additional material is provided by Drunvalo Melchizedek in his recently published books entitled: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, in which he writes that his friend Katrina Raphaell, author of several books on crystals, found and photographed the Flower of Life symbol on a wall of the Osirian Temple in Abydon, Egypt, which is almost 6,000 years old. Upon her return home from Thailand, Martha consulted her spirit guide as to the origin of her interest in geometric design. She learned that she had channeled the mandalas, that Spirit had been attempting to channel them to six people currently on earth, but that she was the first person to carry the project to completion. She was also told that she is now doing exactly what she did as a healer in a past life in Lemuria, where she used crystals to create mandalas to heal people.
She recently founded the Martha Bartfeld School of Holistic Education, a private elementary and middle school for children of multicultural backgrounds, which will open in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in September, 2006.
