A UK 1st Edition, 1st Printing hardback book indicated on the copyright page with no further printings mentioned. This copy is in the second state binding without the extremely rare golden gun to the boards. - The book is in good condition. It has a light push to the top and bottom of the spine. Light sunning and foxing staining to the page block. Small bumps to the bottom outside corners of the boards. A few very small dents to the faces of the boards Internally, the book has the green and white patterned end papers. The front end paper has the indentation of a price on it. The inside is complete with no tears, inscriptions or other writing. A good copy. - The dust jacket is in good condition overall and has not been price clipped with a price of 18s net shown. Chips to the top of the spine cover and to the front and reverse where they meet the flaps. Sunning/ darkening to the spine cover. Otherwise a good copy.
