Very good to inside with a line of very light tanning to page facing inside front and back board. Dust jacket not price clipped and has a removable clear cover; slight wear to top of spine; tiny bit bissing to bottom left back corner; very slight wear to other corners. In 1942 Reakes left his war work to contest the bye-election at Wallasey. His election to this traditional Tory seat, by an overwhelming majority, created a political sensation. Interesting for views on wartime Westminster and a small group of Independents that Reakes has association to in the House of Commons. Broadleaf Books is a second hand bookshop in Abergavenny, South Wales. Enquiries and visits are very welcome. pol.
