Paul Getty Museum Council and a member of the supervisory board of the Herb Ritts Foundation, both located in Los Angeles. He is editor of Deutschland im Fotobuch (2011) and co-editor of Autopsie: Deutschsprachige Fotob�cher 1918-1945 (2012).
