Yona Friedman, Paul Maymont, Georges Patrix, Michel Ragon et Nicolas Sch�ffer se r�unissent en mars 1965 pour fonder le Groupe International d'Architecture Prospective (GIAP) qui se propose de rassembler toutes les personnes pr�occup�es de recherches prospectives d'architecture et d'urbanisme. Les premiers statuts d�finissent ainsi l'objet de l'Association: "R�unir les chercheurs, dans le domaine de l'architecture et de l'urbanisme. Cr�er un lien entre ceux-ci, � une �chelle internationale. Organiser des expositions de leurs oeuvres et toute manifestation susceptible de rendre leurs travaux publics." Walter Jonas et Ionel Schein seront rapidement contact�s pour faire partie du bureau, portant ainsi � 7 le nombre des membres fondateurs du GIAP.
