Ace Double Novel book number D-164; cover price 35 cents; two science fiction novels printed inverted and back-to-back, with cover art for Mankind by Edward Valigursky (cover artist unknown for Crossroads). Norton was born Alice Mary Norton in 1912 but changed her name in 1934, to help sell her science fiction to a mainly male audience; she was the first woman inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. The book is unmarked; age-toning to the pages; spine slanted and creased; a slight bend to the textblock; minor edgewear to the wraps; sleeve protected.
