Cloth; front cover very slightly bowed and flecked; flyleaves a little tanned; a very good copy. Provenance: Norman Lewis, former Head of the SA Woods and Forests Department, with his ink ownership details on the front flyleaf and his occasional pencilled emphases. Loosely inserted are two pamphlets, each by the same author, both in very good condition. The first, 'The Soils of South Australia', is an offprint from the 'South Australian Forestry Handbook, 1957, and includes two folding colour maps. The second pamplet titled 'The Soils of Australia' is a 1966 CSIRO reprint from the 'Official Year Book of the Commonwealth of Australia No. 52, 1966') (with one folding colour map); this pamphlet also bears Lewis' ink ownership signature on the front cover.
