A large and heavy volume. NOT ex-library. Jacket rather scuffed and creased to upper edge. Slight fading. Red cloth boards with small indented bump to rear upper edge. Binding firm. Slight dust-marking to upper face of page block. Previous bookseller's label to half-title. Contents bright with minimal wear. Largely B&W plates with a few colour. 639 entries with 440 plates. The many body of the work is the cartobibliography preceded by a preface, foreword and introductory essay. Charts and appendices to the rear. 669pp. A very decent copy in a slightly worn jacket.
