Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller SIGNED & Inscribed by Puller Himself, First Edition, 1962

First edition, only printing, of Burke Davis's Marine! The Life of Lt. Gen. Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC, published by Little, Brown & Company in 1962. Hardcover with original dust jacket. Inscribed by Puller himself in 1962, in Saluda, Virginia, to Lt. Dave Drewelow a fellow Marine who flew over 400 combat missions across two tours in Vietnam and was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, and Meritorious Service Medal, among others. Condition is good, with wear to the spine of the boards, especially at the top and bottom. Chesty Puller remains the most decorated Marine in American history, his legacy still invoked throughout Marine Corps training today. A striking piece of military history, connecting one legendary Marine to another through a direct, dated inscription.
