About this Item
Mrs. Packard, married to a cold blooded Calvinist minister who responded to her disagreeing with him on slavery, religion and some other issued had her committed as insane. The famous trial of her sanity was decided for her in only four minutes and she went on to become the greatest advocate for women being committed as insane by abusive and greedy husbands. The original volume is quite rare. This is complete, tight and has no marks, a few minor tears to end paper edge but is neatly separated from the front and back cover. Would be a wonderful candidate for someone learning fine bookbinding and I have priced it at about 1/4 the going price. Seller Inventory # ABE-1683146948588
