Matching dates on the title and copyright pages. Short story "Warm Hair" wrongly credited to Mark Twain on page 8. In publisher s original black outlined pictorial brown cloth and gilt-stamped text on front panel, gilt- and black-stamped lettering, and gilt graphics, on spine. Board panels are scuffed and lightly soiled. Board panel edges are scuffed or rubbed. External page edges are age- and light soil-darkened. Pencilled note on the FFEP verso and first blank page. Previous owner s name in ink on verso to frontispiece. Tasteful pencilled sketch of a man on the verso to the first blank page at back. A few smudges on the first several pages. Text pages are age-toned, else internally clean. Small publisher s label on the back free end-paper. Text block is sound.
