Indianapolis: The Bowen-Merrill Company Publishers, 1901. First Edition, First Printing with "Bowen Merrill" to spine and "Brooklyn ,N.Y." to copyright page, with comma abutting the N. Octavo. 245 pp. 12 full color inserts and numerous black and white illustrations. Olive-green cloth stamped in gilt with pictorial pastedown. No dust jacket. Light wear to extremities with exposure and minor fraying to crown; corners slightly bumped. Minor lean to boards and binding sound. Ownership inscription in pencil to front free endpaper; interior else unmarked; overall a Very Good copy. A non-Oz adventure, published a year after the Wizard, in which the main character is based on Baum's second son, Robert Stanton Baum, to whom the book is also dedicated.
