First UK edition and first printing. In near fine minus russet coloured cloth boards, with silver titles to spine. The boards are very flat, tight and clean, there is slight wear to the spine ends. The front free end paper has a thin, feint vertical line. The text block is securely attached to the boards, even and unblemished. The pages are illustrated with black and white photos (including frontispiece). There are not dedications etc. Near fine condition. The dust jacket is black and has two oval photos to the front and red and white titles. The edges are slightly worn with a small closed tear to the front, tail edge. Price clipped. In removable protective sleeve. Good condition.

The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. We take care to describe our books accurately and in detail, and to pack them so that they arrive with you in the same condition that they leave us. However,
should you not be completely satisfied with your purchase, then you may return
the books(s) to us and, provided you do this within 30 days of receiving the
book(s), then we will fully refund the cost of the book and postage.

We pack our books in corrugated book wrap or book boxes. We try to respond to orders the same day as we receive them or during the next business day.
