Keith Krotish left a computer programming job in Research Triangle Park to open the Greensboro Black Belt Academy with his Mentor, Dr. Jin Bang Yang, in 1991. Difficulties learning to relax, and learning to control mental pressure such as anxiety during competition, led him to start researching mental training procedures. Several years of research, study, and practical applications, have led to the information in this book. Using the techniques and applications in this book, he has helped two of his students place at the Taekwondo National Championships. This book is meant to be used as a supplemental guide to the book Brainwaves: A Martial Artist's Guide to Mental Training. The original Brainwaves was written to help every martial artist learn about mental training tools and how they can be used as an aid in personal growth and development. Mastering Brainwaves is designed to help martial arts instructors aid their students in learning to use mental tools to reach their maximum potential. It is recommended that you as an instructor, first read the original Brainwaves and that you encourage your students to have a copy of Brainwaves as well.
