True First Edition. Meets all first edition points (Younger & Hirsch, pp. 131-133). Fish with open mouth on the cover. Seven line publication statement. No dust jacket. Good to very good condition. Kelly-green linen covered boards with dark green printing and illustration on the spine and cover. Mild rubbing on the spine ends and corners with some exposure to the boards. Spine is tight and square. Pages are clean with the following exceptions: Neat inscription on the inside front cover; child's name penciled on the sign of the facing page; two pages have some marks--one has a small fish drawn on the text in blue pen or pencil; one page has several light blue lines between 1-2 inches on the bottom left corner in blue pencil. Otherwise, pages are clean. No rips, bends, or stains. Illustrations are vibrant and amazing. A rare copy of a book that will only become harder to find. Seller Inventory # ABE-1665603478436
