Review
Greg Dale and Jamie Robbins have hit a home run with a mental skills training manual that is essential for athletes and coaches to read and absorb. The modern athletic thresholds are tied to the mental skills of the athletes. --Tony DiCicco, Former Coach, USA Soccer: 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and 1999 and 2008 World Champions
I was able to relate to so many aspects that Dr. Dale and Dr. Robbins address from my years of competitive play in junior, amateur, college and professional golf. I have had (and still have) to become more mentally tough and apply many of the areas they cover on a daily basis, such as practicing with a purpose every day, letting go of mistakes, embracing pressure, not making excuses, and not only focusing on the outcome. I believe this book is a wonderful guide to all athletes who are at every level of competition, and... I feel anyone wanting to reach their fullest potential in their area of work can apply the skills Dr. Dale and Dr. Robbins cover. --Amanda Blumenhurst, Professional Golfer, Three-Time First Team All-American, Winner of the United States Women's Amateur Championship
I have just begun playing professionally. I am very new to this lifestyle and I seem to learn and come across new things every day about myself and what I need to do as an athlete. I feel this book is a really helpful tool for athletes to get the best out of what they have. I truly believe that talent alone will not take an athlete to where he or she wants to be. This book has really helped show me how there are so many different aspects of sports, and I plan to use this book as a guide to help my success in tennis. --Cory Parr, Professional Tennis Player, Singles All-American, 2009; Doubles All-American 2008, 2009,
