The Mercy Men

A bright example of the scarce first UK edition of Alan E. Nourse's dystopian science fiction tale in which humans have to sell their body parts in order to survive. The scarce first UK edition, first impression of this work. In the publisher's original clipped dust wrapper. First published in the US in 1955 as 'A Man Obsessed', the novel combines a tale of revenge with a darkly prophetic portrait of a culture in which impoverished humans sell their body parts for the benefit of the rich. The work of American science fiction author Alan E. Nourse. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price clipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper wrap heads lightly age toned, otherwise excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Fine.
