From an academic library their bookplate front pastedown, no other library evidence. Maroon cloth covered boards with gilt titling to spine. Boards are worn and top and tail of spine frayed, in fact part of the top of the spine cover is missing. Large tear and dinge to top edge of front board. Front hinge cracked, just holding together by a string. Rear hinge quite tender. 784 pp. Coloured frontis. Sixteen black and white plates and folding chart at rear of book. This is a heavy book and we will request extra postage if ordered from outside the UK.
